IV72333: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION IN JAVA JIT COMPILER

Error description

• Error Message: A SIGSEGV/GPF is received when Java JIT is
  compiling a method.
  .

  This issue only affects Java on z systems.
  

Local fix

• This problem can be avoided by setting the JVM option
  -Xjit:exclude={full method name} for the method that is causing
  the issue. However, it may cause some performance degradation.
  

Problem summary

• The problem was caused by the JIT compiler attempting to
  optimize an exception check while compiling or inlining a call
  to MethodHandle.invokeExact.
  

Problem conclusion

• The JIT compiler has been updated to handle this case properly.
