• Error Message: Formatting trace using format dat files from
  TraceFormat.dat and J9TraceFormat.dat from
  c:\build\pwa6480sr2-20151023\sdk\jre\lib
  Problem running command:
  java.lang.NullPointerException: Null UtGlobalData found.

  Stack Trace: N/A

  The problem occurs when running the jdmpview !snapformat or
  !snaptrace commands on a system dump from a JVM which was run
  with the -Xtrace:none option.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The problem occurs when running the !snapformat or !snaptrace
  commands attempt to find JVM trace data structures in a dump
  from a JVM which was run with the -Xtrace:none option.
  

Problem conclusion

• The jdmpview tool has been updated to prevent the NPE from
  occurring and to print the following message instead:
  "Trace was not initialized, check dump VM options for
  -Xtrace:none"
