Problem summary
Loops with long induction variables can, in some circumstances, be mishandled by the optimizer leading to incorrect program transformations being applied resulting in a JIT crash.
Problem conclusion
The optimizer was enhanced to properly handle loops with long induction variables so only valid program transformation are applied. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR2 (8.0.2.0) . Contact your IBM Product's Service Team for these Service Refreshes and Fix Packs.
