Error Message: A segmentation fault or undefined behaviour is exhibited when a call to a method containing a synchronized region is called. . Stack Trace: N/A . This problem only occurs on z196 or newer machine architectures.
Local fix
The problem can be worked around using the -Xjit:disableLPD JVM option.
Problem summary
The JIT generates invalid instructions following the generation of an LPD instruction used for a synchronized region.
Problem conclusion
The JIT has been updated to work around this issue. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR3 (8.0.3.0) .
