  A loop fails to properly respect its termination condition, for
  example by running for an extra iteration. One particular
  consequence is that com/ibm/as400/access/AS400PackedDecimal may
  unexpectedly throw NumberFormatException. However, the symptoms
  may vary in general.
  

Local fix

• The issue might be prevented by -Xjit:disableGLU, but it is
  possible that it could manifest via another optimization.
  

Problem summary

• In certain circumstances, a loop analysis could make an
  incorrect conclusion about the termination condition of a loop
  with a particular rare pattern of intermediate code. Such an
  incorrect conclusion could cause later optimizations to
  incorrectly transform the loop.
  

Problem conclusion

• The compiler has been modified so that this loop analysis will
  avoid making this kind of incorrect conclusion on loops of the
  problematic form.
