Error description
ibmjcehybrid provider fails to establish a TLSV1.2 when AES/GCM ciphers are in use. Attempts to connect will fail with an Alert and close
Local fix
use the IBMJCECCA or the IBMJCE or IBMJSSEPROVIDER2 provider instead of the IBMJCEHYBRID provider.
Problem summary
AES/GCM gets javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Algorithm missing: if IBMJCEHYBRID is in the provider list.
Problem conclusion
Support for AES/GCM added to IBMJCEHYBRID . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 SR9 FP60 (7.0.9.60) 8 SR3 FP20 (8.0.3.20) 7 R1 SR3 FP60 (7.1.3.60) .
