UPDATE and DELETE (SQL) statements can be embedded in a query to allow easy access to data modification detail.

SQL support for Data Manipulation Language (DML) is enhanced with IBM i 7.6 to support Data Change Table Reference:
- For UPDATE: OLD TABLE, NEW TABLE, and FINAL TABLE
- For DELETE: OLD TABLE
Note: INSERT already has support for Data Change Table Reference.
