ObjectConnect is used to easily copy objects between system. In IBM i 7.4, ObjectConnect over TCP/IP was introduced. However, its performance over IP varies, depending on the amount of bandwidth available in a network environment.
With IBM i 7.6, System Administrators can now use options with the Change ObjectConnect Attributes (CHGOBJCA) command to configure the sizes of the send and receive buffers, thereby changing performance characteristics.
