The International Council on Archives (ICA) expresses its deep concern over the escalation of hostilities affecting Iran, the Gulf Region, and the Eastern Mediterranean. In line with statements issued by partner organisations, the ICA calls for the protection of civilians, archives, and cultural heritage sites, and reiterates the importance of respecting international humanitarian law and international conventions safeguarding cultural property during armed conflict.

Through the Fund for the International Development of Archives (FIDA) and the Disaster Relief Fund, the ICA assists colleagues in countries that need support in developing capacity for records management and archives. Donations from ICA members—no matter how small or large—are always gratefully received to support the development of archives worldwide. As a donor you will contribute directly to the survival of the world’s archival heritage.
