With Java 8 right around the corner and Scala picking up so much steam, 2014 is going to be a super interesting year for developers. With so much going on, and so many events and meetups bringing together developers from all walks of life – from one man startups to the Googles and IBMs, we thought putting it all together in one place would be helpful to the community.

With that in mind, we built java2014.org and scala2014.org to bring together all the cool stuff going on in cities around the world this year into one place. So the next time you’re planning a trip a few months in advance or want to see out what’s going on in your hometown this month, you can now check them all out in one place.

With java2014 and scala2014 you can:

• See all the events, conferences and meetups by month.
• Events are highlighted by paid vs. free.
• View each event’s location and price, and head on to its website for more details.
