ISSAQUAH, Wash. โ The Washington State Patrol says a motorcyclist has died after colliding with a semi-truck on westbound State Route 18 in Issaquah.
Both directions of SR 18 between I-90 and Issaquah Hobart Road were blocked for over two hours, with traffic backed up for nearly seven miles.
The motorcyclist, a 19-year-old from Covington, reportedly rear-ended the semi. He did not survive his injuries and died at the scene, according to a news release sent out overnight by WSP.
By 8:30 p.m., the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) confirmed that both directions of SR 18 were back open.
