LADW is a weekend-long celebration of LAโs sprawling, spectacular design sceneโbroken down into bite-sized, neighborhood-based experiences.
Itโs a progression, moving from one part of the city to the next across four days. The event brings together studios, shops, installations, and more in clustered pockets, making it easy to explore by foot, bike, scooter, Metro, or whatever wheels youโve got.
Whether you're local or just design-curious, itโs your chance to see LA through a fresh, creative lensโone stop at a time.
LADW is a hands-on, community-driven experienceโan invitation to make, explore, and connect.
LAD/W welcomes everyone to step behind the scenes and into the spaces where creativity really happens.
Our goal is to make LA the global design destination it has long deserved. Join us!

Weโre a grassroots group of Los Angeles-based designers, makers, brands, and creatives who are excited to activate and celebrate Los Angeles design in all its vibrant diversity.

LADW is for people whose work lives in architecture and design โ architects, interior designers, specifiers, purchasers, product designers, makers, and creators.
Itโs also, just as equally, for people who simply love design, are curious about the creative process, or just want to explore the spaces and stories that make Los Angeles unique.
Whether youโre a professional, an enthusiast, or somewhere in between, LADW is designed to be open, welcoming, and community-driven.

LA celebrates the weird and unexpected. The city is a sanctuary for creatives who thrive off the beaten path. Frank Lloyd Wright said it best: โTip the world over on its side and everything loose will land in Los Angeles.โ Even with an abundance of creators, makers, and collectors here in LA, we are still in desperate need of city-centric festivals and celebrations of design and community.
These are commonplace globally, but not as prominent in Los Angeles because our geography presents a unique challenge to bring people together. Thus, each iteration of LADW is intentionally geographically narrow. LADW aims to highlight emerging designers and heritage brands alike, and bring together all sectors of the design industry including but not limited to residential, commercial, and hospitality.
LA Design Weekend is one of many wonderful design celebrations throughout the year. Our vibe is the more the merrier, no matter if youโre participating or attending, we hope you are as excited about design in Los Angeles as we are. Weโre thrilled to continue LADW annually and hope youโll join us!

In congregating downtown and in Northeast LA, LADW invites the broader design community of Los Angeles and out-of-towners to meet the cityโs emerging, independent creatives where they are and draw a throughline connecting other ends of the city to the east side.
The neighborhoods in Central and Northeast LA are also home to Los Angelesโ design and manufacturing history, and LADW is excited to support the growing network of design studios in this region.
The city itself fuels creativity, inviting you to think outside the box and to participate in an experimental community that is quintessentially LA.
Our hope is to continue this grassroots movement all around Los Angeles throughout the year, highlighting each nook and cranny of this great and mighty county and its neighboring cities.
LA celebrates the weird, the unexpected.

LEAVE YOUR CAR AT HOME ***
We invite (and beg) you to leave your car at home!
Explore LA on foot, bike, scooter, via bus, carpool, taxi, or ride share.
LA Design Week/end is formatted so that you can hop and bop around different neighborhoods in Los Angeles and simultaneously meet designers and makers in their studios, see new work, and make new friends.
The weekend is set up for you to travel car-free easily and cost effectively. Every portion of the day is thoughtfully mapped so that you can explore a neighborhood for a few hours before making your way to the next.
