SuperM was a super-group formed in partnership with SM Entertainment, Capitol Records, and Caroline Distribution. The group consisted of 7 members: TAEMIN (from SHINee), BAEKHYUN and KAI (from EXO), TAEYONG, MARK, TEN (from NCT) and LUCAS (formerly NCT). Described as the "Avengers of K-pop" and originally as seven, they made their U.S. debut on October 4, 2019, with the extended play "SuperM - 1st Mini Album" and its lead single "Jopping", reaching #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Artists chart.
The collaboration group between SHINee, EXO and NCT members focused on overseas promotions, without plans for promoting in South Korea. The "Super" in the group's name implies the synergy between the members while the letter "M" stands for both "matrix" and "master".
The group is presumed to have silently disbanded after their planned 2023 comeback fell through.
