Early life and education
Born in April 1980 in Bordeaux[1], she grew up in Arcachon[1].

After the baccalaureate, she did a degree in theatre studies at the University of Bordeaux-Montaigne, where she was trained by Georges Bigot. She then played briefly in the company of the Petit Théâtre de Pain, then, in 1999, Laurent Laffargue cast her in his Shakespearean diptych Nos nuits aura raison de nos jours, composed of Othello and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

In 2002, she did an internship under the direction of Ariane Mnouchkine at the Théâtre du Soleil and joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique de Paris.

Acting debut (2000s)
When she left the Conservatoire, the first to give her a chance for a real role was Patrick Grandperret, a great talent scout, she would be Lizzy in Meurtrières in 2005.

In 2006, she was part of the cast of the blockbuster directed by Sofia Coppola, Marie-Antoinette. She then played for Pascal Bonitzer, Philippe Garrel and Jean-Pierre Denis in particular.

In 2008, she played one of the main roles in Raoul Peck's L'École du pouvoir, a two-part TV film that tells the story of five young students from the Voltaire class of the ENA between 1977 and 1986.

Critical recognition (2012–2015

Her role in L'Apollonide: Souvenirs de la maison close, by Bertrand Bonello, earned her a nomination for the César Award for Most Promising Actress in 2012.

The same year, she played supporting roles in more exposed projects: Dans la tourmente, carried by Clovis Cornillac, Mathilde Seigner and Yvan Attal. She is also in the cast of two dramas carried by great filmmakers: Rust & Bone, by Jacques Audiard and Capital, by Costa-Gavras. She is also the star of the independent drama Ici-bas by Jean-Pierre Denis.

The year 2013 was marked by the release of two films: Valeria Bruni's auto-fiction Tedeschi, A Castle in Italy, and François Dupeyron's drama, My Soul by You Healed, in which she assisted Grégory Gadebois.

In 2013, she made a remarkable return to the theatre, in Molly Bloom, la chair qui dit oui, again with Laurent Laffargue who directed her in a twilight one-man show, taken from the last chapter of James Joyce's long-running novel Ulysses, which she co-adapted.

In 2014, she starred in Tony Gatlif's new film, Geronimo, in which she played the lead role. Then she assisted Mathieu Kassovitz in the drama Vie sauvage, by Cédric Kahn. She concluded the year with a supporting role in Cédric Jimenez's thriller, La French, starring Jean Dujardin.

At the same time, she was part of the cast of the successful fantasy series Les Revenants, which ran for two seasons in 2012 and 2015 by Canal+.

Subsequently, the actress managed to secure more leading roles.

Leading roles (2015–present
In 2015, she co-starred in the drama Les Rois du monde, by Laurent Laffargue[2], starring Sergi López and Éric Cantona. Then she carried the independent drama I wish you to be madly loved, by Ounie Lecomte.

The year 2016 saw her play a supporting role in the comedy Saint Amour, by Gustave Kervern and Benoît Delépine, alongside Gérard Depardieu, Benoît Poelvoorde and Vincent Lacoste. Then she reunited with Grégory Gadebois and Romain Duris in the Franco-Belgian drama Ceasefire, by Emmanuel Courcol.

In 2017, she directed the independent drama Corporate, Nicolas Silhol's first feature film. Then Pierre Deladonchamps was assisted in the drama Nos années folles, by André Téchiné. Then she made a small appearance in the historical thriller HHhH, by Cédric Jimenez.

In 2018, she was part of the cast of the historical drama A People and Their King, by Pierre Schoeller, where she played Queen Audu. Then in 2019, she co-starred in the drama But You Are Crazy, by Audrey Diwan, with Pio Marmaï. She also played the role of The Hyena in the Canal+ television series Vernon Subutex the same year.

She is a member of the 50/50 collective, which aims to promote equality between women and men and diversity in cinema and audiovisual[3],[4].

Director
She moves on to directing in 2024 with Niki, a biographical film on the life of the painter and sculptor Niki de Saint Phalle. The film is selected in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

Personal life
She was in a relationship with director Laurent Laffargue[1] with whom she has a daughter born in 2010[5]. She is in a relationship with the architect Philibert Dechelette[1].

In April 2019, the press announced that she was pregnant with her second child[6]. On September 28, 2019, she published a photo on her Instagram account announcing the birth of her son on September 25, 2019.
