Emily Kaiho was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to a Caucasian-American mother and Japanese father. She grew up in Japan and speaks both English and Japanese fluently. Emily studied jazz and modern dance, as well as theatre and acting, because she always had a strong desire to become an entertainer. As a teenager, she worked regularly as a beauty and fashion model in Japan, and performed on stage as a dancer as well. In early 2008, Emily decided to advance her career by moving to Los Angeles.
