My favourite musical to film adaptation

For fans of the musical, this really doesn't disappoint. It is brilliantly staged, choreographed, performed and acted throughout. I loved every part of it. It is much closer to the original darkness of the Matilda book, so anyone expecting to see the lighthearted American version of the 90s will be disappointed.
