As a member of G-Unit, he rose to fame in 2005 with the success of his debut album, The Documentary, which earned him two Grammy Award nominations. Followed by two more successful albums his second album Doctor's Advocate in 2006, and his third album LAX in 2008.
Game also runs his own record label The Black Wall Street Records. Since then, he is considered to be a driving force in reviving and bringing back the West Coast hip hop scene, which had been overshadowed by artists from the East and South.

The Documentary is the debut studio album by West Coast rapper The Game, released on January 18, 2005, through Aftermath Entertainment, G-Unit Records and Interscope Records. After recovering from a shooting in late 2001, The Game pursued a rap career and was discovered by Dr. Dre who signed him to his Aftermath Entertainment label. The album features production provided by but not limited to Dr. Dre, Kanye West, and Timbaland, and guest vocals from 50 Cent, Nate Dogg, and Faith Evans, among others.
The Documentary debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 586,000 units in the first week. The Recording Industry Association of America certified the album two times platinum in March 2005 and it sold over five million copies worldwide. The album received generally favorable reviews, with music critics praising the album's production. Since the album's release, The Game has been credited as a driving force in reviving the West Coast hip hop scene, which had been overshadowed by artists from the East, Midwest and South.

Doctor's Advocate is the second studio album by West Coast rapper The Game, released on November 14, 2006 through Geffen Records. Due to his disputes with 50 Cent, The Game left Aftermath Entertainment and signed with Geffen Records another label under Universal Music Group's Interscope-Geffen-A&M division to terminate his contractual obligations with G-Unit in the summer of 2006.
Despite the absence of Dr. Dre, who executive produced The Game's debut record, The Documentary, the album featured production by four other returning producers Kanye West, Just Blaze, Scott Storch and Hi-Tek as well as will.i.am and Swizz Beatz. Production for the album was also contributed by DJ Khalil, Jellyroll, Jonathan "J.R." Rotem, Mr. Porter, Nottz, Reefa, Ervin "E.P." Pope and D-Roc, among others.
Doctor's Advocate debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, selling over 358,000 copies in its first week, making it The Game's second number one album in a row. According to The Game himself and Geffen Records, the album has sold nearly 3,000,000 copies worldwide.
Guests featured on Doctor's Advocate include Busta Rhymes, Kanye West, Nas, Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound, Jamie Foxx and Xzibit. Upon its release, the album received favorable reviews, with music critics praising the album's production. The Game made a point to prove that he could still make good music and be a successful artist, as he did on The Documentary, without the help from Dr. Dre or 50 Cent.
As with The Documentary, Doctor's Advocate was distributed in the United Kingdom by Polydor Records, which is the British distributor for Interscope-Geffen-A&M releases.

LAX is the third studio album by American rapper The Game, released August 26, 2008 on Geffen Records. He had originally announced that Dr. Dre would be producing for the album, but neither Dr. Dre nor Aftermath Entertainment had confirmed. Production for the album was contributed by longtime collaborators Cool & Dre, Kanye West, Scott Storch, Nottz, Hi-Tek, and JellyRoll, among others. Guests featured on LAX include Chrisette Michele, Common, Keyshia Cole, Ludacris, Nas, Ne-Yo, Raekwon, Raheem DeVaughn, Travis Barker, Bilal, and Lil Wayne. The album was released with 2 different cases such as one on the deluxe version with Game looking at the camera with his Bandanna in his hand and another with him sitting on a couch smoking a blunt.
LAX debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling over 238,000 copies in its first week, just behind metal band Slipknot's All Hope Is Gone. At first it looked like LAX had debuted ahead of All Hope Is Gone by 13 copies, with such a close difference, Slipknot's labels Warner Music Group and Roadrunner Records asked for a SoundScan recount, a historic first. Nielsen proceeded to the recount, which placed LAX at number two with 238,382 copies, and Slipknot in first position with 239,516 copies scanned, a margin of 1,134 copies.
Initially, Billboard published an article stating that The Game had secured the top spot with a margin of 13 units, in what was described as the "closest race for number one since SoundScan began tracking Data in 1991". After a recount 12 hours later, the article was rewritten and Slipknot was awarded the number one spot, having sold 239,516 units. As of October 22, 2008 the album has sold 660,100 copies in the US. Upon its release, LAX received generally favorable reviews from most music critics, with music critics praising the album's production.

The R.E.D. Album is the fourth studio album by American rapper and West Coast hip hop artist Game, which is due to be released on August 23, 2011 through Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records after almost two years of delays since late 2009. Unlike the album's several previous release dates, Game has confirmed that the new release date is permanent. The R.E.D. Album also marks Game's return to Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records, the two record labels that released his debut album, The Documentary, before a beef with former fellow G-Unit labelmate 50 Cent caused him to release his two following albums, 2006's Doctor's Advocate and 2008's LAX, on Geffen Records.
Recording sessions for the album have been taking place at Ameraycan Recording Studios in North Hollywood, California, at Encore Recording Studios in Burbank, California and at Paramount Recording Studios in Hollywood, California from 2009 onwards. According to Game, Dr. Dre and Pharrell Williams will be executive producing the album.
Production is also said to be handled by several other record producers, including Cool & Dre, 1500 or Nothin', Kanye West, Just Blaze, DJ Premier, No I.D., Jeff Bhasker, Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Jim Jonsin, Drumma Boy, Scoop DeVille, will.i.am, RZA, DJ Khalil, DJ Quik, Nottz, Boi-1da, Hi-Tek, Maestro, Bangladesh, Mike Lynn, Nottz, Ryan Leslie, TreBeatz, J. R. Rotem, Polow da Don, StreetRunner, Hitboy, Phonix, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, The Futuristics, Scott Storch, Dessy Des, Tha Bizness, and Lex Luger, among others.
