T'was the Night Before Christmas,
And all through the house,
Cats jumped onto the tables,
Flipping my Grandmother out.
My Father hides away,
From the family fair,
They've never agreed with his views,
So for them he does not care.
My Grandfather's conservative opinion,
Fills the house from the T.V.,
Spreading more hatred around,
On this damn winter's eve.
My Aunts, Uncles, and cousins,
Run rampid with narrow minds,
The can't see past the hurt,
No, they can't sympathize.
My Mother ignores the chaos,
Emotions-she just can't,
So she goes to her imagination,
Where visions of happiness dance in her head.
That brings us to me,
Sitting quietly amoungst the voices,
God forbide they know the pain,
And that it's really the meds making me nausious.
Yes it's just me,
That always finds herself alone,
Their fake smiles so far above,
Thinking that they always know.
But they don't and never shall,
So with a tip of my hat I run out of sight,
Away from the plastic picture perfect home,
To find a genuine Merry Christmas,
And with that, goodnight.

It is day two on Lexapro and I feel like I just escaped from purgatory twice >< My muscles are sore, my head hurts, I'm nausious, I can't sleep, I'm dizzy, you name it I got it. Emotionally though I think I'm ok, I mean I've been to busy trying not to be sick to really think about my anxiety, but I do think I might be getting better :)

I am new to the Transgender community. I have become close friends with a guy who came out to me as Trans straight forward. While he has been teaching me about this new world, I find that there is so much I do not know. I would love to become fully immersed into this culture and learn as much as I can so I can help him on his journey. So please, I would love to make some friends on this site and it would be incredible if anyone and everyone could help educate me about this community I am a part of. Thank you!

One question that I have right away: is there anyway to alleviate the pain caused by wearing a binder for to long? My friend has a tendency to wear his longer than he's supposed to and I find that he is often in pain. I worry about him because he is stubborn and sometimes is in so much pain he can't breathe, any advice?
