About the Project

The DaxDuckDex is a fan-made catalog dedicated to showcasing the many secret costumes and characters of Dax the Duck, DuckDuckGo's beloved mascot. This project was born from a passion for ducks and a fascination with the hidden Easter eggs that appear when searching for specific character names on DuckDuckGo.

What started as a personal quest to discover all of Dax's disguises has grown into an interactive database that allows users to explore these charming characters. The site also includes historical DuckDuckGo holiday logos, preserving the visual heritage of this privacy-focused search engine.

Mobile users can now enjoy seeing all of Dax's costumes, which are normally only visible on desktop browsers when searching DuckDuckGo directly.
