Frequently asked questions

  • Sharing, collaboration, and joining workspaces aren’t supported in the new Edge Workspaces experience. Learn more at Getting started with Microsoft Edge Workspaces.

  • To access Edge Workspaces, you’ll need a desktop running Windows 10, Windows 11, or Mac OS, Microsoft Edge version 144 or later, and to be signed into Microsoft Edge with a Microsoft (MSA) account or Microsoft Entra ID / Azure Active Directory (AAD) account.

  • Select Search tabs (icon) in the top corner of your browser window, then select icon Manage workspaces (icon). You can also access workspaces from the workspaces menu (icon).

  • In the New workspace drop-down, you can choose Create workspace with X tabs or Create blank workspace based on your need.

  • Select the workspaces menu (icon) in the top corner of your browser window, then select More options (icon) next to the workspace and choose Edit workspace.

  • Select the workspaces menu (icon) in the top corner of your browser window, select More options (icon) next to the workspace, then select Delete workspace and confirm Delete.

  • If any of your workspaces appear to be missing or out of date, make sure syncing is enabled across all of your devices. This helps ensure your workspace data is up to date and accessible everywhere.

  • Yes, your default browser window will remain open after you create a workspace, and you can return to your default browser window at any time.

  • No, your workspaces will be saved, and you can access them anytime you are signed into Microsoft Edge with your Microsoft (MSA) account or your Microsoft Entra ID / Azure Active Directory (AAD) account.

  • You can easily move tabs between workspaces to keep your focus aligned. Right-click any tab and select Move tab to or create a new workspace from your current tabs using the workspaces menu (icon) in the top corner of your browser window.
