Fibrous crystals of the brand new uranium mineral (approved Nov, 2010) Carlosbarbosaite from the the type and only locality, Jaguaracu, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The formula is (Ca0.5□0.5)(UO2)2(NbSi)O6(OH)2·2H2O. The discovery was very limited, about 100 specimens, all micros. The field of view in the photo is 2 mm wide.

The formula is (Ca0.5□0.5)(UO2)2(NbSi)O6(OH)2·2H2O. The discovery was very limited, about 100 specimens, all micros. The field of view in the photo is 2 mm wide.
