AerynOS 2025.03 is now available for this Linux distribution that began life as Serpent OS as a new original distribution started by Ikey Doherty of Solus Linux fame.

AerynOS 2025.03 is the first release for this Linux distribution following the rebranding from Serpent OS. With the AerynOS release it's at alpha-level support and is powered by the Linux 6.13 kernel while using the GNOME 48 desktop, Mesa 25.0 graphics drivers, and other recent software updates.

Following the recent funding troubles for Serpent OS / AerynOS, Ikey Doherty notes that the situation has improved some and more progress is being made on the underlying innovations of this Linux distribution.

Those wanting to try out the alpha-level AerynOS and learn more about their latest efforts can do so via AerynOS.com.
