Alpine Linux 3.22 Replaces Gummiboot With systemd-efistub

Alpine Linux 3.22 is now available as the newest version of this Linux distribution popular for use with containers and embedded purposes due to its small, simple, and secure focus.

Alpine Linux 3.22 ships a number of software updates including the LLVM 20 compiler toolchain, the Nginx 1.28 web server, Ruby 3.4, Rust 1.87, Docker 28, Go 1.24, Xen 4.20, and a variety of other updates. On the desktop side is now the GNOME 48, KDE Plasma 6.3, and LXQt 2.2 desktops.

Alpine Linux 3.22 has also replaced Gummiboot with systemd-efistub. The gummiboot-efistub for Alpine Linux is no longer maintained and all users should move to systemd-efistub.
