Fedora Forge Announced For Modernizing Fedora's Development & Collaboration

Written by Michael Larabel in Fedora on 18 September 2025 at 06:36 AM EDT. 12 Comments
The Fedora Forge has been soft-launched for Fedora contributors to help modernize the development and collaboration tools around the Linux distribution.

Fedora Forge is built atop the Forgejo open-source and self-hosted lightweight software forge. Fedora Forge will be the dedicated place for official Fedora Project work for Fedora sub-projects and Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

Initially the Fedora Release Engineering, Fedora Council, and FESCo are moving over to the Fedora Forge while over a phased roll-out additional teams will be moving to the Fedora Forge for centralizing their work on the new platform in place of Pagure.io.
