HP Panther Lake Systems Now Have Intel ISH Firmware For Linux

For those with a new Core Ultra Series 3 "Panther Lake" laptop from HP or considering one of these new systems, the Intel ISH firmware has now been upstreamed to linux-firmware.git for enhancing the out-of-the-box support.

The firmware needed for enabling the Intel Integrated Sensor Hub "ISH" on Panther Lake powered HP systems is now upstreamed to linux-firmware.git. The ISH is the co-processor in modern Intel systems for handling various input hardware and sensors offloaded from the main CPU cores. Leveraging the ISH allows for better power-savings.

The Intel ISH driver is open-source and long part of the upstream Linux kernel but does require binary firmware blobs for operation. With this commit, HP Panther Lake systems can now enjoy the benefit of Intel ISH.

I haven't yet had the opportunity to test any HP Panther Lake systems but presumably the rest of the Linux support is in order given the good upstream Intel Panther Lake support in general as I've shown from testing on other hardware the past few months.
