KDE Plasma 6.4 embarked on its soft feature freeze this week. Thus KDE Plasma developers are now predominantly working on bug fixing and UI polishing for this next open-source desktop release.

Prominent KDE developer Nate Graham is out with his traditional Saturday blog post to outline all of the interesting Plasma accomplishments for the past week. Some of the highlights for this week include:

- The "New File" and "New Folder" dialogs within Dolphin, Plasma, and other apps using KDE Frameworks 6 were given visual overhauls.

- Transferring files in Plasma and KDE apps will now inhibit suspend so the file transfers don't get unexpectedly interrupted.

- Various System Settings improvements

- Fixing a possible KWin crash when disconnecting a Thunderbolt dock, among other KWin crash fixes.

Plus a lot of other fixes and refinements now that Plasma 6.4 is under its soft feature freeze. More details on this week's Plasma changes via this blog post by KDE developer Nate Graham.
