KDE developers have been busy addressing bugs within the Plasma 6.4 desktop ahead of its stable release in June. But there has been some last minute feature work to arrive, including support for time-of-day wallpapers with Plasma 6.4.

KDE developer Nate Graham is out with his usual weekly recap of all the interesting Plasma activity for the week. Besides bug fixing, most notable this week is Plasma 6.4 now supporting time-of-day wallpapers that will automatically change throughout the day.

Plasma 6.4 has also seen several UI improvements affecting Discover and widgets. Some UI changes are also already building up for Plasma 6.5.

Among the bug fixes this week were addressing additional KWin crash scenarios, better screen selection for apps under XWayland, and a rare scenario that could allow bypassing the lock screen's password prompt. Plasma 6.3.6 is also going ahead and disabling Adaptive-Sync by default due to too many bugs in graphics drivers impairing the experience.
