All of the sound/audio driver changes have been merged for the Linux 6.16 kernel that include new AMD and Intel hardware support among other new audio hardware as well as various other improvements.

Sound subsystem maintainer Takashi Iwai with SUSE submitted all of the feature changes this week for Linux 6.16 and they have already been merged. Notable this cycle with the HD Audio driver code is initial support for the upcoming Intel Wildcat Lake. The Wildcat Lake "WCL" audio support should be good to go with this new kernel.

The HD audio code also adds support for the NVIDIA Tegra264. When it comes to the ASoC driver code there is newly-enabled support for AMD ACP 7.x platforms, Cirrus Logic CS35L63 and CS48L32 Everest Semiconductor ES8375 and ES8389, Longsoon-1 AC'97 controllers, nVidia Tegra264, Richtek ALC203 and RT9123 and Rockchip SAI controllers. The ASoC code also now supports a wider-range of Intel AVS platforms.

Linux 6.16 sound code also now allows automatically enumerating DAIs from standards-conformant SoundWire SDCA devices, USB audio support for the Pioneer DJM-V10, and other changes. More details for those interested via this pull request that was merged to Linux Git on Tuesday.
