After 100 Point Releases, Linux 3.0 Is Being EOL'ed

Greg Kroah-Hartman announced the release of Linux 3.0.100 on Sunday and with that he intends to end-of-life this long-term kernel series in the coming days.

For those enterprise or serious stable users still on the Linux 3.0 long-term kernel series, 3.0.100 is now available but Greg KH intends to end-of-life it in the next week. Greg recommends users upgrade to either the Linux 3.4 or Linux 3.10 long-term kernel release cycles instead.

Linux 3.0.100 has a handful of fixes and details on this likely last 3.0.x point release can be found in the kernel mailing list announcement.
