In addition to yesterday's alpha release of the semi-immutable Majaro Summit distribution, Manjaro Linux has now resolved Manjaro 25.0 as the newest version of this (non-immutable) Arch Linux based desktop operating system.

Manjaro 25.0 pulls in the Linux 6.12 LTS kernel for providing newer hardware support, among a lot of other updated packages. On the desktop side there is the brand new GNOME 48 and KDE Plasma 6.3 desktops along with the Xfce 4.18 lightweight desktop.

These package updates plus an assortment of other software upgrades since December make for a nice incremental update to Manjaro Linux. Manjaro 25.0 comes alongside Fedora 42 and Ubuntu 25.04 also releasing this week.
