On top of the big features for the Intel graphics driver code and new AMD hardware support coming for Linux 6.15 along with the initial NOVA driver stub, the smaller Direct Rendering Manager (DRM) drivers have also been lining up their changes for this next kernel version. With the Mediatek DRM driver for Linux 6.15 it's set to add MT8365 SoC support, perhaps better known as the Genio 350.

The MediaTek Genio 350 (MT8365) SoC is designed for edge/IoT use-cases and combines four Cortex-A53 cores with a Mali-52 GPU and other basics in suiting for the intended edge/IoT market.

After going through a few rounds of code review by consulting firm BayLibre, the MT8365 SoC support for the MediaTek DRM driver is set to be upstreamed for Linux 6.15.

That's the main highlight of the Mediatek DRM pull request for Linux 6.15 while other items include some HDMI fixes, MT8188 DSC compatible addition, and other minor fixes.
