PCIe 8.0 v0.3 Specification Released To Members
As announced last month, PCI Express 8.0 is aiming for 256 GT/s speeds for allowing 1 TB/s bandwidth in an x16 configuration. In working towards the goals of PCIe 8.0, the PCI-SIG announced today that the v0.3 specification has been released to members.
PCI Express 8.0 v0.3 received workgroup approval and is now available to PCI-SIG members. The v0.3 milestone is for the first review draft of the specification and aligns with their schedule for releasing the completed PCI Express 8.0 specification by 2028.
Per the PCI-SIG announcement, the key highlights of PCIe 8.0 include:
