It's been over three years since the last ReactOS open-source operating system release for this platform working on API/ABI compatibility with Microsoft Windows. Today ReactOS 0.4.15 was finally published.

ReactOS 0.4.14 came out at the end of 2021 and finally today brings the ReactOS 0.4.15 release. As such there's an awful lot of changes to be found with this new tagged release of ReactOS. During this time there has been work on SMP support, progress on its GUI mode installer, UEFI boot improvements, many x64 improvements for x86_64 usage, running on the Valve Steam Deck, running various games, and other enhancements.

More ReactOS 0.4.15 build information can be found via the project's Wiki. No concise ReactOS 0.4.15 announcement has yet to be published by the open-source project but there is community change-log listing the hundreds of alterations with this new release. There's been much work on the ReactOS kernel, Win32 subsystem, setup code, various drivers, and the ReactOS shell since late 2021... Simply put, check out the new ReactOS 0.4.15 release this weekend if the project interests you as there is much to be found.

Update: Additional ReactOS 0.4.15 details are now published on ReactOS.org.
