Sovereign Tech Agency Making 2026 Investments In systemd, PHP, Servo & More
Germany's Sovereign Tech Agency (nee Sovereign Tech Fund) is out with their latest newsletter where they outlined some new investments in various key open-source projects.
In today's STF newsletter they highlight recently commissioned work as for the following projects:
Their PHP investment for 2025~2026 amounts to €223k to help with improving security, reliability, and collaboration.
For systemd in 2025~2026 is €399k for extending it to improve security, integrity, and robustness for multi-user systems.
Servo is set to receive €545k for improving accessibility, embedding support, and maintainability.
OpenPrinting is looking at €190k for helping with its maintenance and improvements.
