Wine 11.10 marks the latest bi-weekly development release of Wine for running Windows games and applications on Linux, macOS, and other platforms.

Notable with Wine 11.10 is that it has upgraded against VKD3D 2.0 for the latest Direct3D 12 API support implemented atop the Vulkan API. VKD3D 2.0 released last week with HLSL shader handling improvements, better handling of legacy Direct3D byte code, new effects improvements, DXIL integration improvements, experimental Metal Shading Language target support for Apple devices, and other refinements. VKD3D continues advancing as the upstream code for Wine separate from the Valve/CodeWeaver downstream of VKD3D-Proton that is part of Steam Play (Proton).

Wine 11.10 has also implemented XPath support without relying on the libxml2 library. Plus there are various VBScript compatibility improvements.

A total of 17 known bug fixes can be found in Wine 11.10 helping various games and apps. Details and downloads at WineHQ.org.
