As was the focus when beginning the article, our intentions were to let the frame-rate results speak for themselves, and refrain from commentary on the various multi-head possibilities and each of their advantages, however, in the future we will be delivering additional numbers and further exposition. We will also be comparing the multi-head Xinerama possibilities directly for both ATI Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce graphics solutions. One important item to note for enthusiasts, however, is that using Xinerama, NVIDIA CoolBits overclocking is NOT supported, where as with TwinView, there should be no problems with the clock frequency manipulation. Looking over the nine benchmarks with their average frame-rate, there certainly were distinct improvements in many of the trials when running NVIDIA TwinView over Xinerama in gaming. TwinView was also on target for competing with the single-head results. Both of these multi-head architectures have their various assets, and depending upon your needs and usage, TwinView or Xinerama may be the best answer to meet your Linux display requirements.
