In Java benchmarks, the Core i9 9900K was generally leading over the Ryzen 9 3900X on this round of Ubuntu 19.10 benchmarking.
MKL-DNN is an interesting test and, yes, does make use of Intel's Math Kernel Library. While the workload is optimized for Intel's microarchitectures, the Ryzen 9 3900X (like the AMD EPYC 7002 series) does perform very well with this deep learning benchmark in a number of scenarios.
