While the Core i9 10900K had a lead when it came to the raw gaming performance, when the Phoronix Test Suite was monitoring the CPU package power consumption on a per-test basis and then generating the performance-per-Watt metrics for each test, it's somewhat of a different story:
On a performance-per-Watt basis, the Ryzen 9 3900XT was generally leading over the Core i9 10900K for Linux gaming.
