Cedega v5.1 + NVIDIA
As can be gathered from the benchmark results, gaming under Linux with Cedega certainly comes at a cost. However, even with a decrease in performance, the games were still very much playable with respectable quality. In regards to the Cedega and Linux performance with Enemy Territory and Doom 3, it too came at a performance downfall, but still churned a moderate amount of frames. Unlike Tom Wickline's experiment on the WINE development mailing list, with WINE versus Windows benchmarks where many of the scenarios WINE had outperformed Windows, this simply was not the case with Cedega gaming. Certainly, TransGaming Cedega Technologies v5.1 brings many improvements to the table, along with support for some newer retail game titles, which may make it worth purchasing.
