Hitting the web a little over a year ago was Fedora Core 5 Bordeaux (March 20, 2006). One of the important milestones for Core 5 was the introduction of mono with tools such as beagle, f-spot, and tomboy. Fedora Core 5 had also replaced Red Hat's up2date with Pirut and Pup as the updater and package management tool. GNOME 2.14 and OpenOffice.org 2.0.2 were among the updated packages in this release.
