For our ImageMagick JPEG image resizing, we had recorded the time to resize 95 images. The original images were taken from a 10MP digital camera at a resolution of 3648 x 2736 and all of the images were sized down to 1200 x 900.
We had used hdparm for the timed buffered disk reads.
