Ubuntu 18.04 LTS also managed a slight win ahead of Clear Linux and Debian 9.6 when it came to the TTSIOD 3D renderer on the CPU.

Under the GraphicsMagick imaging program, Clear Linux and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 had small leads over the rest.

For the time to compile the Linux kernel, RHEL 7.6 was the fastest with its older compiler toolchain followed by SLES 15. The newer Linux distributions with their more recent GCC compilers have additional compiler optimization passes generally leads to slower compile times.

Clear Linux came out in front with the Zstd file compression benchmark.

Debian 9.6 was performing surprisingly well on Amazon EC2 compared to the other major Linux distributions.
