In the Python PyBench test, Clear Linux again was the fastest while the two Amazon Linux releases were performing about the same and similar to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4
Amazon Linux 2 had faster PHP performance, but not nearly fast enough to compete with Clear Linux in first place followed by Ubuntu 16.04 LTS with those distributions having newer PHP versions by default than the other operating systems.
GraphicsMagick performance for image manipulation was the fastest with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
