Even when handicapping the AMD EPYC 4005 series to DDR5-4800 memory, these EPYC Zen 5 processors continued to show the Intel Xeon 6300 series competition simply as non-competitive.

Those looking for even more AMD EPYC 4005 series DDR5-4800 vs. DDR5-5600 performance data can see this result file for 200+ benchmarks in full across these different CPU/RAM configurations

Even when using DDR5-4800 memory with the AMD EPYC 4565P and EPYC 4585PX processors, these new "Grado" CPUs continued to show very great uplift over the prior gen EPYC 4004 series and continued to crush the Intel Xeon 6369P flagship competition. If no troubles sourcing DDR5-5600 ECC UDIMMs and able to do so without any significant pricing premium, it obviously makes sense going for the fastest UDIMMs available. But if wanting to re-use existing DDR5-4800 ECC UDIMMs or finding a bargain on those more readily available ECC memory modules, you can still get very nice performance out of these entry-level AMD Zen 5 server processors. The faster memory can certainly pay off especially for CPU-based AI inferencing, some HPC workloads, and other areas.
