AMD EPYC 4124P Benchmarks: A Quad-Core $149 Server CPU
Not that most of you are looking at a 4-core processor in 2024 for any performance-sensitive workloads, it was interesting and fun to benchmark for looking at the range of performance and power across the entire AMD EPYC 4004 line-up.
For some workloads like TensorFlow that benefit greatly from AVX-512 with Zen 4, the EPYC 4124P was even coming relatively close to the Xeon E-2488 flagship while at a fraction of the power.
It's a similar situation with OpenVINO where the Xeon E-2400 series lacks AVX-512 support and no Advanced Matrix Extensions (AMX) either like with the latest Xeon Scalable processors where OpenVINO runs exceptionally well.
