For most HPC workloads going for DDR5-6000 over DDR5-4800 with AMD EPYC Turin means a great deal better performance... Similar to what we've shown with the Intel Xeon 6900P Granite Rapids processors where MRDIMM 8800 memory can yield great uplift over DDR5-6400.

If upgrading from EPYC 9004 to EPYC 9005 for HPC work, it definitely would be advised for most workloads to also upgrade the DDR5 memory for maximum benefit.
