AMD Radeon 8050S "Strix Halo" Linux Graphics Performance
For this large set of Ubuntu 25.04 laptop iGPU benchmarks, AMD Strix Halo both with the Ryzen AI Max PRO 390 and Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 395 was very impressive. The Ryzen AI Max PRO 390 with Radeon 8050S in this set of tests came in at 88% that of the flagship Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 395 with Radeon 8060S. Even when putting the Ryzen AI Max PRO 390 in its low-power platform profile to enhance power efficiency, the Radeon 8050S graphics were shooting well past the other integrated graphics options tested.
The AMD Strix Halo SoCs do consume more power but the performance delivered yielded very nice power efficiency in these tests under Ubuntu Linux.
The Radeon 8050S and 8060S Graphics were working well out-of-the-box on Ubuntu 25.04, delivering incredible iGPU performance, and can drive up to four displays and handle 4K and 8K resolutions as well as high refresh rates.
