The OpenCL-based FluidX3D computational fluid dynamics software saw slightly better performance on the latest ROCm 7.x stable release.
👁 Darktable benchmark with settings of Test: Boat, Acceleration: OpenCL. ROCm 7.2.3 was the fastest.
It was nice seeing ROCm-OpenCL isn't entirely forgotten with there being often some small but consistent performance improvements when using the newer ROCm user-space components.
