The Ryzen 5 8500G was outperforming the Core i3 14100 in the FFmpeg video workloads while delivering leading power efficiency... Again an interesting use-case for a lower-end, power-sipping server.

For more demanding video encoding workloads like with the SVT-AV1 encoder, the Zen 4 X3D parts tended to deliver the best performance per Watt.

The Ryzen 5 8500G was continuing to prove itself much more capable than the Intel Core i3 14100 Rocket Lake Refresh processor.

For some of the video encoding workloads the Ryzen 5 8500G was comparable to the Core i5 14500 that retails for ~$240.
