With the Altair OpenRadioss software the Ryzen 7 9800X3D could nearly match the Ryzen 9 7950X performance.
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D wasn't as lean on power as the Ryzen 7 7800X3D but was delivering great performance in various real-world technical computing applications.
Not that many are investing in 8-core CPUs for heavy technical computing workloads, this is an interesting preview ahead of further AMD Zen 5 3D V-Cache processors.
The AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors continue to stand strong for a variety of real-world, scientific/technical computing applications on Linux.
